1. Understand your target audience.
Study them carefully to find out what they're attracted to, the language they use, where they spend time on and offline.

2. Appreciate the power of well-designed words.
Pairing your message with a great design with plenty of white space and compelling visuals is the way to cut through noise. Often, businesses want to give their audience every piece of information at once. Be the breath of fresh air with considered visuals, that intrigue, not overwhelm.

3. Create brand identity guidelines.
Include how to use your logo, brand fonts and colours, recommended photography styles and any other best practices for visuals. Circulate this document to make sure your team is using the identity correctly, and revisit the document regularly.
